mini-pc-dubNow here is a tiny little computing kit that will make you smile at its compact form factor – the Mr.NUC V6, where it will retail for $299 a pop, running on an Intel Core i3 Haswell processor to boot. It does look as though there does not seem to have any kind of shortage of small desktop computers at this point in time, where some models will run on ARM-based chips, whereas the others will sport low-power Intel Bay Trail processors. I suppose the name Mr.NUC V6 does grow on you after a while, although the V6 part might actually turn the necks of motorheads as well.

The Mr.NUC V6 has a chassis that measures approximately 4.6″ x 4.6″ x 2″, with the aforementioned Intel Core i3 Haswell processor running underneath the hood, where it will be accompanied by the likes of an Intel HD 4400 graphics chipset, an mSATA slot that allows for a solid state drive, a 2.5” bay which can house either a hard drive or SSD comfortably, a pair of SODIMM slots that can hold up to 16GB RAM, a quartet of USB 3.0 ports, a mini HDMI port, audio jack, Ethernet, mini DisplayPort, an IR port, and a VESA plate among others. Do remember that you will need to provide your own RAM and operating system since this is a barebones machine.
