goldgenie-iphone6You can never have too much gold – just as King Midas, and he will tell you all about it, although at the end of the day, you would not be able to enjoy a golden apple, let alone chew on one. Well, Goldgenie has apparently celebrated the Year of the Goat (for 2015’s edition of Chinese New Year) with a spanking new iPhone 6 Elite Year of the Goat Limited Edition handset.

Needless to say, as its name suggests, this is a gold-covered smartphone, which will most probably be a whole lot more affordable compared to the earlier revealed iPhone 6 Diamond Ecstasy Edition. Still, once a particular handset carries the name Goldgenie, you can be sure that it will be out of reach for most folks as it burns through your bank account real quick.

The iPhone 6 Elite Year of the Goat Limited Edition will retail for £2,637 if you would like to settle for the 64GB model, or you can fork out £2,837 should you want to double up on the storage. One can also choose between white and black for the front fascia.Other than being covered in 24k gold, it will sport a laser engraved hand-painted Chinese symbol of the Goat from the Chinese zodiac and comes with a special “Luxury Cherry Oak Finish” box.
