Microsoft has released Windows 10 technical preview which gives us a good idea of what the upcoming iteration of its operating system is going to look like. However if you don’t have a compatible Windows PC lying around that you can upgrade and happen to use a Mac, there is a way now to run Windows 10 technical preview on Mac. Parallels today announced Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac which brings “experimental support” for Windows 10 technical preview and Office Preview for Windows 10.

This eliminates the need to install Windows 10 technical preview directly on the machine because Parallels is going to run it in a virtual machine right from the desktop.

Parallels Wizard will let users easily download the preview and then set up the virtual machine for it to test all of the new features included in the software, such as Cortana integration, start menu, and even the Windows Store beta.

Starting today anyone who wants to sample Microsoft’s latest software on Mac can use Parallels Desktop 10 with a free two-week trial. Parallels software can also be used to run stable operating systems like Windows 8 and Windows 7 right on the desktop itself.

Available here, Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac costs $79.99 while the Student Edition costs $39.99. Folks who have already purchased Desktop 8 or 9 can pay $49.99 to upgrade.
