one e9There has been talk that HTC could be looking to launch a slightly less premium version of the HTC One M9 in the form of the HTC One E9p (A55). The handset was spotted in the Chinese TENAA database which suggested that the handset could be the real deal, and now thanks to a post by @upleaks, additional images of the handset has surfaced.

As you can tell from the image above, the major difference the One E9p has is that it appears to be using plastic. This is versus the metal build HTC used for their flagship handset that was announced at MWC 2015 earlier this month, but despite the plastic build, the One E9p appears to pack some pretty impressive specs.

If the rumors are to be believed, the handset will come with a 5.5-inch QHD display which would essentially give the handset a higher resolution than the One M9. It is also rumored to be powered by a MediaTek MT6795 processor clocked at 2.2GHz with 3GB of RAM, a 20MP rear-facing camera, and will come with 32GB of storage.

The handset will also be targeted at the Asian market where it is said to be priced close to $500. No word on when the handset will be announced or launched but one of the rumors has suggested that it could be as soon as next week.
