Tinder Plus Expected To Launch On Monday

We have known for a while now that premium features are coming to Tinder, a popular smartphone dating app, and that users will have to pay a monthly subscription fee to access those features. The new features will be bundled under a program called Tinder Plus which according to a recent report is going to launch on Monday, that’s tomorrow, for $9.99 per month.

TechCrunch reports, citing sources familiar with the matter, that Tinder Plus is going to launch tomorrow. Apparently different price points have been tested in different markets, ranging from $0.99 per month up to $19.99 per month.

The report suggests that pricing for this feature might vary market to market but in the U.S. it might come in at under $10 per month.

A Tinder Plus subscription will give users the ability to Rewind. That’s what the feature is called. This will bring back the last person they swiped left on.

Also included is a feature called Passport. Tinder will currently only search for other users based on your location but if you were traveling to an exotic party destination tomorrow and wanted to get ahead of the pack, so to speak, you could use the Passport feature to search for potential matches at that destination even when you’re still packing your suitcase.

It has also been reported that Tinder Plus will also remove ads from the service. If you’re thinking that Tinder doesn’t have ads, it might get them in the near future, as Re/code reports that Tinder is currently building an ad product.

In this day and age when many of us subscribe to different services, be it Spotify or Netflix, Hulu, Prime Instant Video, Sling TV and many others and watch as our subscription bills rack up, one really has to take their app dating game very seriously to spend $10 on another monthly subscription.
