Activision confirmed the release date of the House of Wolves expansion for Destiny yesterday. It’s the second DLC expansion for this title, the first was released in December last year. Destiny will not receive any more extensions after House of Wolves. Developer Bungie confirmed today that despite rumors to the contrary, the House of Wolves expansion actually does not bring a new raid for the title.

Bungie hasn’t said that the third raid will not be released at all, it has only rubbished reports that House of Wolves includes a new raid.

In an update on its official blog, Bungie writes that the third six-player raid will not be a part of Destiny’s second expansion which is set to arrive next month.

“House of Wolves will not have a Raid activity,” writes Bungie, adding that it didn’t make this decision lightly. It says that currently the team is creating a new raid for release later this year.

The developer points out that House of Wolves does have a new cooperative end game activity that’s focused on “variety, replayability and skill – a new battle Arena called The Prison of Elders.”

When asked if the third raid will be included in the Destiny Expansion Pass, publisher Activision said that it will announce more details about future raids at a later date. Currently it’s focusing on House of Wolves.
