The Warcraft movie from Universal and Legendary was supposed to be released by the end of this year, but due to the Star Wars movie also being released around that time, they wisely made the decision to push it to an 11th of March 2016 release instead. However there is some bad news now as it looks like the movie has been delayed even further.
According to a recent tweet by Legendary, it seems that the Warcraft movie will only be arriving in the summer of 2016. To be more specific it will be released on the 10th of June 2016 which is a Friday. It is unclear as to why the movie has been delayed, but given that Blizzard has had no qualms delaying its games, we suppose it doesn’t come as a surprise that they have no problems delaying its movies either in order to ensure it is of the highest quality.
Of course there could be other reasons as to why the movie is being delayed but QA is probably your best bet at the moment. That being said the movie has already completed its filming and is right now in its post-production phase, a phase which has been previously estimated to take about 20 months to complete.
Perhaps there were some hiccups along the way or there are additional things the producers want to add, but either way fans of the franchise will just have to remain patient. In the meantime an official trailer of the movie has yet to be released to the public, something that many are no doubt eager to see.
