windows-10-leaked-build-mail-calendarIt was just last month that Microsoft had confirmed that they would be releasing Windows 10 in the summer of 2015, but no specific dates were mentioned, meaning that we could be treated to the new platform at the start or towards the end. However according to AMD’s president and CEO Lisa Su, it seems that she has confirmed that Windows 10 will be launching in late July.

Su made these claims during AMD’s latest earnings call last week. She was quoted as saying, “With the Windows 10 launch at the end of July, we are watching sort of the impact of that on the back-to-school season, and expect that it might have a bit of a delay to the normal back-to-school season inventory build-up.”

Of course AMD could simply be making a guess of their own and just giving a placeholder date, but given that this is an earnings call in which investors are involved, not to mention since AMD does make Windows-based computers, we suppose that they would be in the know with regards to Microsoft’s plans for releasing the platform.

At this point in time, Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system is still in its technical preview stage and it still feels like Microsoft has a lot of things left to do. However Microsoft’s next Build conference will be held later this month where presumably we will be getting more information with regards to its launch, so do check back with us then for the details.
