Samsung has already received a lot of praise for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, particularly for its design, performance and the camera. There’s no denying the fact that Samsung’s new flagship devices have one of the best cameras that you can find on any smartphone in the market today, and it appears with the next major update for its flagships Samsung is going to improve camera features.

According to a new report today the Android 5.1.1 for Galaxy S6 update is going to bring camera improvements alongside the usual slew of bug fixes and stability improvements that one expects from a software update.

The report doesn’t go into much details about the improvements that Samsung will be making to the camera experience, but there’s speculation that the company might add the ability to shoot in RAW, control shutter speed and even support the full Google camera API on Lollipop, among other improvements.

It has already been said that Samsung has begun developing the Android 5.1 update for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, but it’s too soon to be sure at this point in time when Samsung intends on releasing this update for its new flagship smartphones, because the company is yet to say anything about it.
