htc inkBack in April, HTC announced a partnership with model Jourdan Dunn and tattoo artist Cally Jo Pothecary which would see both of them come up with a tattoo-based design that could make its way onto a HTC handset. Well if you’re wondering what is the result of that collaboration, wonder no more as HTC has unveiled the finished product.

As you can see in the image above, it shows off the HTC INK handset which is essentially the HTC One M9 which a fancy new design on the back of it. We have to admit that it does look pretty funky although we suppose it might not necessarily be for everyone, but then again the handset was designed to be a limited edition device so there won’t be many units floating about.

So what does the design mean? Dunn was the one who picked the design while Jo Pothecary designed it and according to the artist, “The hand and eye symbolise the need for protection and strength, combined with positive energy. The natural leaf-elements and patterns around the outside of each visual reflect her creative growth, whilst the sun and moon together indicate balance and harmony in her character.”

Unfortunately pricing and availability of the HTC INK handset remains unknown at this point in time, but we doubt it will be priced that much higher than a regular HTC One M9, but either way we will be keeping our eyes peeled for more information regarding the handset.
