If you happen to own the HTC One M9 on T-Mobile then you might want to pay attention. The carrier has finally started rolling out the highly-anticipated Android 7.0 Nougat update for this handset. The update has actually been released in the United States a bit late considering the fact that many international variants of this handset have already received Nougat elsewhere around the world.

HTC One M9 owners in the United States have had to wait for a considerable amount of time to get the latest and greatest iteration of Android. It looks like T-Mobile’s variant is the first one in the country to officially receive the Nougat update.

Android 7.0 Nougat brings a handful of new features to compatible devices such as an improved Doze mode, a revamped notifications experience, multi-window support, user interface tweaks, and more.

Several HTC One M9 owners have reported that they have received the firmware update v4.27.531.6 on their handsets. The update file weighs in at 1.09GB which is understandable given that it’s a major OS update. It includes the February security update as well.

HTC One M9 owners on T-Mobile should keep their eyes peeled for an over-the-air update notification. It shouldn’t take too long for the firmware update to become available to all users across the country.
