If you were one of the backers of the Pebble Time smartwatch, you should have received your device by now. However if you didn’t back the project but decide that this is something you might be interested in, our previous report stated that pre-orders for non-backers would begin on the 22nd of June.However here’s the thing you should take note of: it seems that if you’re from the US and you’re looking to pre-order the watch come 22nd of June, you can only do it through Best Buy. This is according to a recent announcement made by the company. “On June 22nd, customers in the US can pre-order Pebble Time exclusively at BestBuy.com. Pre-orders start shipping soon after. All Pebble Time pre-orders for customers within the United States will be placed through Best Buy.”
For those who are not from the US, you guys can place your pre-orders directly from Pebble’s website. We’re not sure why Pebble has decided to team up with Best Buy for the pre-orders of the Pebble Time, but perhaps it could be to help offload some of the incoming orders. After all Best Buy has been dealing with pre-orders for a long time so they definitely have more experience and a system to deal with it.
In any case we suppose it won’t really affect the end result as long you get your watch on time although Pebble has yet to state specifically when orders will be shipped out. Either way if you’re looking forward to the Pebble Time, then you will want to mark the 22nd of June on your calendar.
