The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 and Galaxy Tab A 9.7 tablets from Samsung were released in the United States at the start of May for $229.99 and $299.99 respectively, since these are mid-range tablets they weren’t that expensive to begin with but now they’ve had a price cut which means they’re a much more compelling option for people in the market for a cheap tablet. The price cut has been applied on these tablets merely two months after they were launched in the United States.

Both models have received a $30 cut which means that the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 can now be purchased for $199.99 and the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 for $269.99.

Keep in mind that these price cuts don’t apply to the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 with S Pen which was released last month and is still being sold for the price it launched with which is $349.99.

The tablets are powered by a quadcore Snapdragon 410 processor with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. They have 2 megapixel front and 5 megapixel rear cameras and run Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Only major difference between the two tablets is the display which is available in two sizes, 8 inch and 9.7 inch with the same 768×1,024 pixel resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio.

Both tablets can now be purchased for the aforementioned prices in three colors which include smoky titanium, smoky blue and white.
