It was reported a couple of days ago that the Samsung Galaxy Tab A could soon be launched on T-Mobile. So far the Wi-Fi only variant of this tablet has been sold in the United States so T-Mobile would be the first carrier to launch a 4G LTE enabled variant. The carrier has formally confirmed today that it will indeed be offering this tablet to customers, Galaxy Tab A will be available for purchase from T-Mobile starting August 19th.

The carrier will be selling this device online as well as through participating stores from August 19th, it has also confirmed how much it’s going to cost customers.

Galaxy Tab A will be priced at $0 down with 23 equal monthly payments of $13.34 and 1 payment of $13.17, altogether customers will be paying $319.99 over 24 months for this 4G LTE enabled tablet.

This tablet features an 8 inch Super AMOLED display with 1,024×768 pixel resolution. It has a 1.2GHz quadcore processor under the hood with 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. A 5 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front camera is also present, there’s a microSD card slot, support for LTE bands 2, 3, 4, 7 and 12 as well as Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

Galaxy Tab A is certainly not a flagship Android tablet but it will get the job done if you’re in the market for a relatively cheap slate that happens to support 4G LTE.
