lumia 735Back in June, Microsoft announced the Lumia 735 and that the phone would be available for purchase via Verizon’s online store. However if you’re not a fan of purchasing products online until you’ve gotten a chance to take it for a spin, you might be interested to learn that Microsoft has recently announced the handset’s availability inside of Verizon’s retail stores.

The release of the phone in Verizon’s retail stores means that customers can walk into any of the carrier’s outlets nationwide and try the phone out for themselves, and if they like what they see and hold, they will be able to purchase the phone there and then. The handset is priced at $29.99 on a new two-year contract, or $8 a month for 24 months.

Alternatively if you’d rather not be tied down to any carrier, Microsoft is selling the phone by itself where it will be priced at $199 without a contract. That being said, Verizon is also offering customers a deal where if you bring your phone number onto the carrier’s network, you will be entitled to a $100 bill credit.

Just as a quick recap for those who missed the handset’s announcement, the Lumia 735 is a mid-range Windows Phone handset at best. It sports a 4.7-inch HD display with a Snapdragon 400 processor under the hood. It will be accompanied by 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, a 6.7MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, with LTE connectivity, and a 2,200mAh battery on board.
