galaxy-note-edge-official-04You know what they say – better than never, although in the world of technology where everything moves at an extremely fast speed, being last to the game, or late, might be fatal. It looks like it is finally the turn for Sprint’s Galaxy Note Edge to be on the receiving end of the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system update, and surprise, surprise, this could very well be the first Android 5.1 Lollipop update that will hit a Samsung Galaxy Note Edge device worldwide, now how about that for turning the tables?.

It looks as though this could be due to Sprint working closely with Samsung on this particular release. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge units that were sold either unlocked or purchased from other carriers will, theoretically speaking, also be on the receiving end of this operating system update in due time. Sprint’s version has seen the Over The Air (OTA) rollout happen today.

As usual, this is but a staged delivery system, so be patient if your Sprint-powered device has yet to pick up this update. Upon applying it, the software version on your device should hit N915PVPU4COFE, as it comes with accompanying bug fixes and enhancements as well. [Sprint Support Documents]
