lg-nexus-5-2015-cases_0It is unclear as to when Google will officially announce the new Nexus handsets, but chances are it will be later on in the year, possibly towards the end. That being said, a recent photo has surfaced which shows off the LG Nexus (2015) in the flesh and for those who are hoping for a bit more confirmation, you’re in luck.

It seems that online retailer AliExpress (via Android Central) has started to sell cases for the upcoming handset, as you can see in the image above. From what we can tell, it certainly looks like the design of the phone for the cases is in line with what we’ve been seeing so far. Of course there is the possibility that whoever made the case is basing their designs on the leaked renders and photos.

However if not, it does lend some credence of the official design of the handset. Sure enough as we’ve seen previously, the camera of the handset will feature a large bump. It will also sport dual flash units to help make things brighter, or if they’re following in Apple’s footsteps the dual tone flash could actually help make it more natural-looking.

There is also a cutout on the back of the case for the alleged fingerprint sensor. It seems that both LG and Huawei will opt to include the sensor on the rear, versus the front or in the home button position which is where OEMs such as Samsung have included theirs. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information.
