rockstar editorAccording to a report from last week, Rockstar revealed that the Rockstar Editor for GTA 5 would be arriving on consoles in the next update. It was unclear as to when that might be, but thanks to a new post from Rockstar, it has been revealed that the Rockstar Editor will be arriving onto consoles in September.

This was confirmed by Rockstar who also revealed some additional details of the upcoming update. According to the developer, “This update will also bring with it some new features for the Rockstar Editor that will be available for all three platforms including PC, along with some exciting new gameplay for GTA Online Freemode that we’ll be sharing more about in the coming weeks.”

For those who are unfamiliar with the Rockstar Editor, basically this is a feature of GTA 5 where users can create their own custom videos using assets in the game. We’ve seen some pretty clever creations, such as the recreation of movie trailers and TV shows, so it will be interesting to see what console players can get up to.

The editor should make its way onto both consoles that the game is available for, such as the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Rockstar did not mention any specific dates but at least we know that it will be in the month of September, so gamers will want to keep an eye out for it.
