htc desire verizonIf you’re looking for a new handset that does not break the bank, you might be interested to learn that Verizon has recently announced a pair of HTC devices in the form of the HTC Desire 525 and the Desire 626, with the latter having been announced earlier this year. In fact at least one of these devices might be the mysterious HTC handset that was spotted at the FCC the other day.

That being said, given that the phones are of the Desire lineup, we expect them to be somewhat affordable, which they are. According to Verizon, customers can choose to pay $120 for the HTC Desire 525 or opt to pay $5 a month over the course of 24 months for the device. Unfortunately for the Desire 626, Verizon has yet to mention how much it will cost.

In terms of specs, don’t expect anything too fancy. The HTC Desire 525 will feature a 4.7-inch qHD display and will come with an 8MP rear-facing camera. As for the HTC Desire 626, its specs aren’t detailed, the handset will sport a 5-inch 720p HD display, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, a 2,000mAh battery, microSD card support, and will come with Android Lollipop preinstalled.

Both phones are expected to be made available later this month, with the Desire 525 going on sale starting on the 13th of August, while the Desire 626’s release date is expected in the coming weeks.
