fossil Q4Last month Fossil took the wraps off a trio of smartwatches, which thanks to a trademark registration, was revealed to be part of Fossil’s new Q lineup of wearables. In fact the company had recently confirmed the name in a blog post in which they have teased their upcoming smartwatches.

According to Fossil, “Designed by our über talented watch team and engineered with Intel Innovation, Fossil Q consists of a connected bracelet, a connected non-display watch, and a round face display watch that runs on Android Wear.” This seems to suggest that Fossil is trying to target a variety of users.

The band would probably be targeted at fitness/fashion enthusiasts who want something minimal but functional; the non-display watch would be aimed at more traditionalists who want smarter watches; and the Android Wear version will most likely target those who want a smartwatch with all the bells and whistles.

Additional specs of the watches have yet to be confirmed, but Fossil claims they will work with iOS, Android, and Windows devices and that they expect the Fossil Q lineup to go up for sale this holiday season. So if you like what you see, then do check back with us later as we will update you guys once the devices are available.
