htcone9-799euroWhen it comes to the HTC One A9, you can be sure that there has been a fair number of rumors surrounding it so far, ranging from it being benchmarked to having additional information leaked. Having said that, you might as well as this to the growing list of rumors, where the HTC One A9 has allegedly been spotted to retail for a whopping 700 plus Euros, which does sound rather insane, actually, especially when you take into consideration that this will be more or less a mid-range handset that runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset.

The Snapdragon 617 chipset itself will arrive with an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU that has been clocked at up to 1.5 GHz, accompanied by the Adreno 405 GPU, a Hexagon 546 DSP, as well as Qualcomm’s very own X8 LTE modem that is capable of hitting Cat.7 speeds.

The €706.64 price will include VAT, which more or less translates to an asking price of $800, where you can opt from a quartet of colors – Topaz Gold, Deep Garnet, Opal Silver, and Carbon Grey. Of course, we will keep this figure with a pinch of salt, as retailers more often than not do not know the actual price before an official product release, so it could just be a placeholder. Ah well, time will eventually tell, as always.
