If you love the Resident Evil franchise, you might be interested to learn that Capcom has recently announced a new game. Nope, this title will not be part of the Resident Evil franchise per se, but rather it would be a spin-off. It will still be related to the Resident Evil world, but it won’t be your typical Resident Evil game.

Dubbed Umbrella Corps, this is an upcoming shooter from Capcom that has been pegged for a release in early 2016, where it will be arriving on the PlayStation 4 and the PC. While this is a shooter, it will be played from a third-person perspective and will primarily be a multiplayer game where gamers will face off in 3v3 matches.

However instead of a straight-up team deathmatch, players will also need to contend with zombies coming into the picture, as well as dealing with other enemies from the Resident Evil world The environments where players will be playing in will be based on areas from the Resident Evil franchise as well, so you might find yourself in some familiar locations if you have been playing the series long enough.

Capcom had originally registered the Umbrella Corps trademark back in July earlier this year, so we guess we finally know what to expect from it. It definitely has an interesting premise and it looks good visually as well. If you have a couple of minutes to spare, then do check out the announcement trailer in the video above.
