Street Fighter fans will be well aware that the upcoming title is going to bring some new characters to the roster and Capcom has now revealed the second new character that will debut with Street Fighter 5. Rashid is the new character that debuts with Street Fighter 5, he was revealed at the Games 15 event in Dubai this Friday. Capcom says Rashid’s fighting style is inspired by parkour mixed with the character’s ability to harness the power of wind.
Rashid becomes the second character of Arabic descent that features in the Street Fighter series, the first was obviously Pullum Purna who debuted back in Street Fighter EX which came out way back in 1996.
Capcom has so far confirmed 11 fighters on the new title’s roster, Rashid will be joining Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Cammy, Vega, M. Bison, Birdie, Charlie Nash, Necalli and R. Mika in Street Fighter 5.
Necalli is the first all new fighter that joins the roster in Street Fighter 5, he has been described as one who has a mysterious background with a wild, animalistic fighting style. He’s meant to be just the right character for players who live a straight forward, hard hitting character.
Street Fighter 5 is going to be released in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
