Netflix is no stranger to reviving very popular network shows that ended years ago, I personally was very excited when Netflix brought back Arrested Development from the dead, and according to new reports the company might be considering the same for Gilmore Girls. It’s believed to have sealed the deal with series creator and head writer Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino.

According to the report Netflix is now negotiating with key members of the main cast which include Kelly Bishop, Alexis Bledel, Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson. The cast is expected to sign on but until there’s an official announcement nothing can be said for sure about them signing on to this project.

If the report is anything to go by we shouldn’t expect an entire new season, apparently Netflix is shooting for a limited revival which will bring us four 90-minute episodes of Gilmore Girls, carrying the story forward from the final season which aired years ago.

Since nothing is official at this point the possibility exists that negotiations with the cast may break down which would ultimately lead to Netflix shelving this plan altogether, there would be no point in doing this without the original cast, so it all depends on them signing on.
