Nexus-5X-Ui-02Close to the end of last month, the Nexus 5X from LG was officially announced, which meant yet another flagship device for the masses to choose from. The Nexus 5X is certainly a step up from its predecessor, the Nexus 5 (which was released a couple of years back), and this is a ‘pure’ Android handset, meaning you won’t get any kind of nasty bloatware right out of the box, not to mention having it run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box. Having said that, those who have been fortunate enough to pick up the Nexus 5X should be on the receiving end of an update, if you have not obtained said update already. That’s pretty quick, right?

The update is not too large, actually, as it weighs in at a mere 42MB, which would see the handset’s software version bumped up to build MDB08I. That happens to be the most recent build that one will be able to find on Google’s Nexus factory images page. So far, there has been no official announcements from either Google or LG concerning this update, so no changelog is available for us to peer through. Chances are it is a minor one, so do expect to have some bug fixes thrown into the mix as well.
