Just yesterday, OnePlus posted a teaser image on Facebook which seems to suggest that they are going to announce something soon. It was unclear as to when the announcement will be, but it looks like we have finally gotten a date to look forward to. The company has recently posted a teaser image on Twitter along with a date set for the 29th of October.
While it was not explicitly mentioned in the image, the big “X” in it certainly seems to confirm that we will be treated to the OnePlus X handset that we have been hearing so much about. It is still unclear as to whether the OnePlus X and the OnePlus Mini are one and the same, or if they are separate devices, but at the very least this image seems to confirm the OnePlus X moniker.
Based on recent sightings of the phone, the OnePlus X certainly looks very different from the OnePlus 2. In fact OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei had stated earlier that the company had designed a phone specifically for people who prioritized aesthetics over specs, and chances are it could be this phone.
