It has only been a few weeks since Snapchat launched a new feature that allows users to replay snaps that they have received as long as they’re willing to pay for the privilege. It’s just one of the ways that Snapchat can make money from its burgeoning user base. Today a new feature set has been released which Snapchat describes as Speed Modifiers, basically they bring slow-motion, fast-forward and rewind to videos sent through the app.

It’s quite obvious what these video features do, slow-motion will slow the video down and fast-forward will do the expect opposite. Rewind will play the video backwards, the new feature set will allow users to add more special effects to their snaps besides puke rainbows.

iOS users get support for 3D Touch on iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, it taps into the display’s ability to ascertain how much pressure the user is applying to then respond accordingly. 3D Touch support in Snapchat will enable users to quickly chat with their contacts.

Snapchat has made a habit of frequently sending out updates that include new features, then again that’s not something that its users will be complaining about. Unlike the ability to replay snaps this new feature set is available to all users for free, so once they install the latest Snapchat update they can start adding slow-motion, fast-forward and rewind effects straight away to their snaps.
