star wars battlefront robotGamers if you have enjoyed the Star Wars Battlefront beta and you would love to keep going at it, you’re in luck. EA has officially announced (via IGN) that they will be extending the beta of Star Wars Battlefront by an additional day. Now before you get too excited, note that the extra day will be used to conduct technical tests.

As EA warns, this means that your experience might not be ideal. “These additional tests will start on Monday, October 12 and will run thru Tuesday, October 13th, which will add an additional day to the open Beta. These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity.”

So if you were hoping for a smooth gaming experience in the extra day of beta testing, don’t be surprised if the reality is anything but that. However we suppose this is also good news for would-be gamers of the title, especially since connectivity and server issues are quite typical of games that requires an internet connection.

Better for EA to test out their servers and ensure that it is capable of handling an influx of gamers now, rather than finding out on the launch day itself in which we’re sure there will be no shortage of angry comments. Star Wars Battlefront has been pegged for an official release on the 17th of November.
