Samsung-Galaxy-S6-Edge-Plus-15

Samsung took a lot of flak for its decision to not offer a microSD card slot with this year’s flagship handsets, the company’s Galaxy S series has always had the option of expandable storage, so this did not go down well with hardcore fans. There have been rumors that perhaps the next-generation flagship could bring back the microSD card slot, and the latest whispers from the rumor mill continue to hold on top hope for this change of heart.

The possibility of Galaxy S7 bringing back the microSD card slot has been discussed multiple times already, and this rumor claims that Samsung is definitely going to do it with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, but we really can’t be sure until there’s official word from the company.

It’s also claimed that the Galaxy S7 is going to have a 5.2 inch display whereas the Galaxy S7 Edge is going to feature a much larger 5.7 inch display, rumor has it that the Edge variant’s display is going to be curved on all four sides.

If Samsung does decide to bring back the microSD card slot that will go a long way in making sure that many of its fans that didn’t purchase the 2015 flagships are brought back into the fold, and to ensure continued growth of its mobile business, it really won’t be that surprising if Samsung does decide to have this change of heart and add microSD card slot to its next generation flagships.
