samsung-logoThanks to trademark filings made earlier this year, it was revealed that Samsung has a phone called the Galaxy A9 in the works. Throughout the year we have been treated to various rumors and specs of the phone, and according to the previous rumor from last month, the AnTuTu benchmarks revealed that the phone has a 5.5-inch display.

However it seems that might not necessarily be the case. According to new information from Indian import/export database Zauba (via SamMobile), it has been suggested that the upcoming Galaxy A9 might have an even larger display of the 6-inch variety. We’re not sure what with the discrepancy between the benchmark and the listing, so for now it’s probably best to take it with a grain of salt for now.

As for its other specs aside from the rumored 6-inch Full HD display, the Galaxy A9 is also rumored to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 chipset with an Adren 510 GPU. It will also be accompanied by 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and is also rumored to sport the same 16MP camera as the Galaxy A8.

SamMobile also notes that the phone has been in and out of India multiple times in the past month where it has undergone various testing. This would seem to suggest that the phone could be inching closer towards an official announcement, but until we do hear the official word, try not to get your hopes up just yet.
