att_bogoIf you’re looking to get a phone for yourself and a family member, or maybe you just want two phones where one is for personal and the other is for work, obviously this means that you’ll have to buy two phones, right? However the good news is that AT&T is currently running a promotion in which it essentially is a buy-one-free-one situation.

We should note that this isn’t really a “free” phone per se, but rather AT&T will replace the monthly device installment plans with monthly bill credits. According to the convoluted fine print, “When you buy both on AT&T Next with qual. svc. (min. $70/mo.). Free after up to $650 in 30 monthly bill credits. (Credits start within 3 bills).”

However if you were to cancel your contract before its time is up, then basically you will have to pay the full unpaid balance of the phone which we guess is pretty obvious. We should also point out that not every phone is eligible for this offer. Right now on AT&T’s page they are advertising the Galaxy S6 as being one of the eligible devices.

However the folks at 9to5Mac have confirmed that Apple’s iPhone 6s is also eligible for this deal. The Next Web also confirmed this and added that due to an agreement with Apple, apparently the iPhone was not allowed to be used in its promo material. This deal is offered until the end of the year, so if you’d like to get in on it, head on over to AT&T’s website or pop into one of their stores for the details on how to get started.
