htc-one-a9_ubergizmo_10It is no secret that Apple’s iPhone is one of the more highly-coveted devices around. Say what you will about Apple products, but you cannot deny that they are very desirable. However it seems that HTC really, really wants you to get their phones. So much so that they have decided to extend their trade-in program until 2016.

Just in case you’re learning about this for the first time, HTC launched a trade-in program in which iPhone owners could trade-in their devices for the company’s new HTC One A9 handset. The promotion is pretty straightforward and will basically allow you to exchange your iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, or 6s Plus for a One A9 for pretty much nothing.

This is because the HTC One A9 is valued at $499.99 and the trade-in value for the iPhones are also valued the same. For those who were worried they missed out on the deal, like we said HTC has decided to extend the program until the 7th of January 2016. Apparently this is because the initial run was such a success and saw HTC’s YoY sales jumping by 731% during the Black Friday weekend.

Now whether or not you think you are getting a good deal out of this is a different story. Alternatively you could sell your iPhone, buy the HTC One A9 and pocket the difference, but either way if you’re interested just head on over to HTC’s website for the details.
