gdocs_template_mobileIf you’re someone who relies heavily on Google’s productivity tools like Docs, Sheets, or Slides for work or school, there’s a good chance that apart from the web version of the apps, you’ve probably downloaded the mobile versions as well. The good news is that Google has recently issued an update that will help boost your productivity and make their apps more useful.

Prior to the update if you wanted to create like a resume or a particular style of presentation on your mobile device like your phone or tablet, you would be out of luck as templates are pretty much limited to the web version. However with the update, Google has introduced templates to the mobile version of Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

As you can see in the screenshot above, users will now be able to pick from a variety of templates even on their mobile devices. Like we said, this should help increase your productivity on the go, especially if you’re looking to throw together a resume on the fly, or if you have a presentation you need to do in the next hour or so.

This update applies to both the iOS and Android version of the app, so if automatic updates are disabled on your phone or tablet, then head on over to the iTunes App Store or Google Play to get your hands on the latest version of the apps.
