lenovo_logoChinese company Lenovo certainly has plenty of business interests everywhere, and the smartphone business is also one area where they would like to concentrate on. In fact, while we have received word earlier this year that Motorola’s 2016 flagships will feature fingerprint scanners as well as display sizes of at least 5”, it seems that Moto by Lenovo will be gracing the US some time this summer. According to Lenovo CEO Yuanqing Yang, he mentioned that the company would like to roll out a “more innovative, more attractive” smartphone in the US, and it should arrive this July.

Taking into consideration that Lenovo would like to leverage on Moto’s branding among US smartphone users, this will most probably pay off, since the Lenovo smartphone brand which is a whole lot bigger in emerging economies and developing countries will not sell as well. No additional details concerning the upcoming device were shared, so there really isn’t much to work on in the first place. We can only speculate at the moment at what the future holds, and keep our fingers crossed that the revealed device will definitely be something that is worth picking up when it arrives. As to whether it can compete with the other high end flagships from Samsung, LG and Apple, that remains to be seen.
