lumia-650

Many of you might have read at some point over the past couple of months that Microsoft will soon be releasing a new Lumia handset which might very well be the last Lumia handset it releases in 2016. It’s believed that Microsoft is going to unveil the Lumia 650 on February 1st and while that hasn’t been confirmed yet, an online retailer in the United Kingdom already has the Lumia 650 up for pre-order.

It was recently reported that there’s a possibility that Microsoft might delay the announcement to mid-February instead of February 1st, no concrete date was provided, so even the unveil date has been contradicted.

That doesn’t stop UK retailer MobileFun from starting to take pre-orders for this handset. It has listed the SIM free Lumia 650 LTE unlocked variant on its website for £199 but doesn’t mention when it’s going to start shipping the device.

As per previous reports the Lumia 650 is going to be a mid-range device with a quadcore Snapdragon 210 processor and 1GB RAM, a 5 inch display with 720×1280 pixel resolution as well as an 8 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera, 2,000mAh battery and 4G LTE support.

No word as yet from Microsoft on when it’s going to formally unveil its next Lumia handset.
