spotify_starbucksWhile you may or may not enjoy the beverages served at Starbucks, if there is one thing that the Starbucks outlets are known for it would be their choice in music, which presumably has been chosen to give off a relaxing and cafe vibe. If you like what you hear and would like to replicate that environment for your home, you can now do that easily.

Sure, one way would be to Shazam/SoundHound the songs that are being played, but there’s an easier way if you are a Spotify subscriber. It seems that Starbucks and Spotify are working together again in which users can identify songs played in Starbucks cafes and save them directly in Spotify.

This means that you won’t need to use a third-party app to identify the songs. Instead you’ll be able to play it directly from Spotify. The good news is that this feature is available to both the free and paid versions of Spotify. All you’d have to do is launch the Starbucks app and if they are in a participating outlet, a “Now Playing” section will be displayed.

Users can then choose to save that song or browse the “Recently Played” section to see previous titles. According to Howard Schultz, Chairman and CEO of Starbucks, “Today is the next era in that experience. We are merging the physical and digital, providing new access points for Spotify as they continue to grow globally, placing more control into our customers’ hands and giving artists the world’s largest stage for them to share their talent.”
