T-Mobile often launches promotions that are aimed directly at the customers of one of its rivals, we’ve seen it do this with the likes of Verizon and Sprint, it’s doing something similar once again however this time around it’s using its MetroPCS prepaid brand. The idea is to entice Sprint customers to jump ship to MetroPCS by offering them substantial savings.

Sprint customers who switch can get up to half off on their monthly bill, MetroPCS offers two lines with 2GB 4G LTE data per line for $50 per month aside from unlimited data, talk and text, The $50 per month charge includes all taxes and regulatory fees.

Those who switch between January 21st and April 4th and purchase a new MetroPCS handset, port in an existing number from Sprint to that phone and activate service on that phone on a non-promotional MetroPCS rate plan will get an additional 1GB of 4G LTE data per month.

Customers will need to “remain in good standing” with the prepaid carrier on the initially activated rate plan to continue receiving the additional 1GB of data per month. Switchers also receive a free phone worth up to $50 as well, options include Samsung Core Prime, LG Leon and the LG K7.

There’s a lot of mumbo jumbo here, they don’t make it easy do they, which is why it’s best to head over to your local MetroPCS outlet to get further information before deciding to switch from Sprint.
