The Far Cry franchise has always been a rather unique one, and we have to say that the latest installment, Far Cry Primal, looks pretty damn interesting, especially since it takes you back to the Stone Age. That being said, the folks at Ubisoft have recently released a new trailer for the upcoming game, but the difference this time is that this is a live- action trailer.

The trailer takes us back through time, from what appears to be a futuristic Edge of Tomorrow-like battle scene, and it keeps going back in time until we arrive in the Stone Age, which is when Far Cry Primal will be taking place. The game was originally announced last year and is scheduled for a release later this month.

Ubisoft has put a lot of effort into the game, going as far as hiring language experts to help invent a new language designed specifically for the game. The game is currently pegged for a release on the 23rd of February for both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. There is even a PS4 bundle announced for the game as well.

PC gamers will unfortunately have to wait until March which is when they will get their copy of it. In the meantime if you have a couple of minutes to spare, check out the live action trailer in the video above.
