lg-g4-camera-ui-01Well, well, what do we have here? Not half a week has passed since we heard that the LG G4 smartphone from T-Mobile has started to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update via the LG Bridge PC software suite, scratching our heads and wondering as to when the Over The Air (OTA) version is going to make it. Well, it seems that just a few days of waiting is enough, as the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is now being made available OTA for T-Mobile customers who are rocking to the LG G4. Hence, there should not be far too long no to wai.

The build that is making its way at the moment has been given the number H801120i, where it will arrive with its fair share of enhancements, of course. Do take note, however, that you would do well to perform a backup of all your existing data, and then connect to a fast and stable Wi-Fi network before tackling the 963.7MB update package, as losing all that data allowance for the month to a software update is folly when you have far better alternatives around.

Once installed, do expect to see the battery-saving Doze feature being one of its benefits. If you are impatient and cannot wait for the update notification to hit your device, then head on to “Settings” before following these choices in the next few steps – About Phone –> Update Center –> System Updates –> Check for Update.
