Microsoft recently confirmed that Quantum Break is going to be released for Windows PC as well as Xbox One. The title will arrive on both platforms on the same day and those who pre-order a copy on Xbox One will get the Windows version for free. Don’t expect to find the game on Steam though because it will not be sold through that platform.

Aaron Greenberg, head of market at Xbox games, has confirmed that Quantum Break will not be available via Steam. The game is actually an exclusive to the Windows Store so if you want to buy it on PC you go to Microsoft’s platform. Greenberg also confirmed that players will be able to access their save files on both the Windows and the Xbox One versions of the game.

It was only last week that developer Remedy Entertainment confirmed that Quantum Break, originally an Xbox One exclusive will be coming to Windows 10 as well. Customers who purchase the Xbox One Quantum Break bundle get the Windows version of the game as well for free.

Those who pre-order Quantum Break on Xbox One receive copies of Alan Wake too, a popular horror game that Remedy released a few years ago for Xbox 360, so customers will certainly get a lot of bang for their buck. Quantum Break is out April 5th.
