Chromebooks have done very well for themselves in the market. These cheap PCs are particularly favored by students which is why Chromebooks have made major gains in the education market. Companies continue to make great products while being able to keep the price low. Earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show Samsung unveiled the Chromebook 3 and it’s now available for purchase.

The Chromebook 3 looks like a typical Samsung notebook, it doesn’t really have outstanding design features, but then again Chromebooks are less for show and more for getting work done anyway.

Samsung Chromebook 3 is powered by an Intel Celeron processor so don’t expect high-end performance, but given that Chrome OS is a very lightweight operating system, the notebook will be able to handle it rather easily.

Other specifications include an 11.6 inch 1,366×768 pixel resolution display and 2GB RAM. Samsung will sell another model with 4GB RAM in the near future. There’s a microSD card slot, 16GB of onboard storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI and USB 3.0 ports with an estimated battery life of 11 hours.

Samsung Chromebook 3 can now be purchased from Samsung for $200. It’s not available through Amazon as yet, the online retailer has the previous Chromebook 3 available right now which has an ARM processor instead of an Intel Celeron chip.
