In a little over a weeks’ time, Valentine’s Day will be upon us. Now you might have planned out some special dinner or getaway with your partner, and we’re sure it will be very memorable, and what better way to capture those memories than with your camera, right? Now if you are planning on using your phone’s camera, Sony as a rather novel app you might want to use.Simply dubbed Valentine, this is an augmented reality app that uses your camera to snap photos and overlay effects on it. According to Sony, “Take some heartwarming photos with the Valentine’s Day AR Effect and share this day with someone special. Sony’s FACE RECOGNITION Technology and SmartAR* Engine work together to automatically detect faces and 3D environments and decorate them with fun AR items.”
In a way we suppose it is similar to some of Snapchat’s filters which detects your face and movements in order to generate effects. The app is a free download so if you do want to spruce up your Valentine’s Day photos without going through a lot of effort to edit your photos by yourself, then just head on over to the Google Play Store for the free download.
