hitmanEarlier this year, it was announced that the upcoming Hitman title will be changed to an episodic game. Prior to this, its developers at IO Interactive were planning on releasing the game fully, but unfortunately it seems that last minute changes saw the game changed to an episodic design in which different episodes will be released at different dates.

The developers said that this was done to ensure quality as it would allow them to focus on each episode, which we guess makes sense. That being said if you’re wondering how many episodes there will be, it seems that we can look forward to a grand total of 7 major episodes ahead of its full retail release.

The first episode will be priced at $14.99 and the rest of the episodes’ prices remain unknown. However the full game is expected to retail for $59.99, also known as the Full Experience, so if you’d rather not buy the game piecemeal, there is a good chance that the Full Experience could end up saving you a couple of bucks.

As to when other episodes will be released, it has been estimated that they will be released on a monthly basis, so essentially you’ve got about 7 months to enjoy the full game. The first pack will be released on the 11th of March for the PC, Xbox One, and the PS4. DLCs are expected to be released for free as well.
