The new Doom game is going to be released in a couple of months. Developer Id Software is gradually revealing more information about the upcoming title. A few days ago it confirmed when the closed beta for the new Doom game is going to kick off. Today a new trailer has been released which reveals nine multiplayer maps that will be included in this game.

The new game has a brand new multiplayer component that players can explore from day one. From the word go it’s going to feature nine maps with each map offering a unique experience. Every map has been constructed to keep the action “brutally fast-paced.”

Multi-tiered combat arenas in these maps are full of hazards and filled with items that can turn the side of combat in seconds. It has also been clarified that while all maps have secrets for players to uncover, none of them have been built to allow for hiding points or easy sniping.

Locations in the nine multiplayer maps include a UAC mining outpost, a mid-sized Hell map, the polar ice caps of Mars, a few UAC facilities as well as a symmetrical and cavernous location where the energies of Hell are harnessed.

All nine multiplayer maps will be available when Doom is released on May 14th, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The closed beta runs from March 31st to April 3rd. Players who pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order and redeemed the beta code will get access to the closed beta of Doom.
