casio-wsd-f10-33As you might have heard, Casio launched a rugged smartwatch that has gone on sale last month. Now the smartwatch was launched in the US, so the question is will it be seeing a launch in other markets? The good news is that if you live in Japan, you will be able to get your hands on the watch, but if you don’t, you’d be out of luck.

According to a report from Wareable, they quote a Casio spokesperson who told them that for now, the Casio WSD-F10 will not be available in markets outside of the US and Japan. “At the moment there are only plans for the WSD-F10 to be stocked in the US and Japan, with no confirmed date for UK release.”

Granted the US is a pretty sizeable market by itself, so assuming the watch does well it should be enough to help Casio pull in some cash. However at the same time we imagine that there are probably many users out there not in the US or Japan who would love to get their hands on the device as well.

The alternative would be to find a retailer to grey import it for you, or find someone to bring it over to your country. Based on Casio’s statement, it’s not necessarily permanent but until the company says otherwise, maybe you shouldn’t get your hopes up just yet.
