Not much is known about God of War 4 at this point in time, the title might be unveiled later this year, but fans currently don’t have much to go on right now. Lately, there have been rumors that the upcoming title is going to have a Norse setting and a God of War 4 art leak has revealed that the title might indeed have a Norse setting, meaning that Kratos is likely going to move north to murder some Norse Gods.

The leaked art also shows the new and improved Kratos who is sporting Viking furs with an axe in hand and a beard on his chin. It doesn’t appear to be a completely new character from Norse mythology so fans will be happy to see Kratos back in the thick of it.

Additional information that has leaked online reveals that Kratos will visit Alfheim, “Land Of The Fairies,” which is one of the Nine Worlds and home of the Light Elves.

Kratos will have an axe that he can use to cut vines and create bridges, he may be in one or more prison. It’s likely that the surrounding environment might interact with the character so if Kratos brushes up against vines they will expel visible spores.

Keep in mind that all of this is based on a God of War 4 art leak and that none of it has been officially confirmed yet. We might have to wait until E3 2016 to find out for sure. All of the leaked images can be viewed here.
