Technology enables us to provide better solutions that enrich our lives and make them easier. This is true for a wide variety of products that now have the “smart” label attached to them, and now it’s the thermometers turn. Temp Pal is claimed to be the world’s smallest, flexible and cloud-connected thermometer patch that’s designed for children and for women who are trying to conceive.
The company behind it says that Temp Pal is going to change the way you check body temperature, be it to ascertain if your baby is running a fever, or having to record your Basal Body Temperature every morning when you’re trying to conceive.
This smart thermometer is said to be precise to ±0.09℉ or ±0.05℃ and has been made for long-term use. It continuously records body temperature and provides peace of mind particularly for parents as they can monitor the child’s body temperature from afar because of its wireless connection. Temp Pal is sweat proof, hypoallergenic and flexible.
It records body temperature through direct contact with the skin and takes multiple measurements using hardware and software calibration to maximize accuracy. Collected data is automatically transmitted to a smartphone or tablet. For women trying to conceive it records Basal Body Temperature at regular intervals and lets them know when they have the best chance of getting pregnant.
Temp Pal can even provide temperature alert notifications so that parents immediately know when the temperature reaches a certain high or low threshold. It even allows for group monitoring making it ideal for parents with multiple children or daycare centers that want to ensure that the little ones are always in the best of health.
Temp Pal is a crowdfunding project on Indiegogo right now. If you get in early you can snag the Super Early Bird deal and get 1 Temp Pal smart thermometer, 30 medical tapes, and a charger for $59 as opposed to the $99 MSRP.
