HBO Now might have launched as an Apple TV exclusive last year but since then the online streaming service has been expanded to many platforms. Microsoft has always billed the Xbox One as more than just a gaming console, it’s a bonafide entertainment device, so naturally online streaming services are a great fit for it. Today the Xbox One has finally received an official HBO Now app.

The timing is no coincidence as well. A pretty big weekend is coming up for HBO. Season 6 of Game of Thrones will be premiered on Sunday aside from the premieres of a handful of new shows so Xbox One owners will be able to tune into all of that using their console.

HBO Now for Xbox One has been released today and it’s now available for download on the console. It’s an online streaming service that provides access to live HBO and its VOD library even if you don’t have a cable subscription. The service is currently available on iOS, Android, Amazon Fire and Roku devices. It’s not yet available on PlayStation 4.

The service does come at a cost. HBO Now monthly subscription is priced at $14.99 per month which all subscribers have to pay once the free trial is over.
