We are still many months away from Apple officially announcing their new iPhones, but it looks like the leaks won’t stop coming because according to the latest leaks out of China, it seems that the image you are looking at above are the molds belonging to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus which seems to corroborate earlier rumors..
For starters in terms of the molds, it does seems that they look similar to that of the leaks we’ve seen so far, including the camera’s layout, although whether or not it’ll sport that weird-looking lens remains to be seen. However what’s missing from these molds would be the area in which the Smart Connector would have been placed.
There is a bit of back and forth regarding the rumors of a Smart Connector feature coming to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. We have heard that it would, then another rumor suggested that it wouldn’t, then newly leaked drawings seem to suggest that it will, so as you can see, no one seems to be able to decide if it will or it won’t.
In any case take it with a grain of salt for now since there’s really no way of proving if these photos are the real deal, but with September creeping up on us, we wouldn’t be surprised if Apple and their manufacturing partners were getting ready.
