samsung-logoWhenever there is a spanking new Samsung Galaxy flagship smartphone, one would naturally let one’s mind to wander and see whether there will be variants of the main device around. Well, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge which were released earlier this year certainly wowed the masses, and there were whispers of a Galaxy S7 Active going around as well that does seem to be beholden to AT&T. It looks like yet another iteration, the Galaxy S7 Sport, is set to tickle our imagination if the SM-G880 revealed in an Indian import database has anything to say about the matter.

Using deducement, the Galaxy S7 would carry the model number G930, while the Galaxy S7 edge happens to be known as model G935. Not only that, the likely Galaxy S7 Active will most probably arrive as model G891, so where does that leave model G880?

If one were to flip through the pages of history, the Galaxy S5 Sport was known as Samsung model G870, and hence, could this mean that this will be the Galaxy S7 Sport? As with any rumor worth its salt (pardon the pun), one should read this with a pinch of such similar cooking ingredient until time either proves it correct or otherwise.
